This Baseball Academy is led by the Ankeny & Centennial Baseball Coaching Staffs. Open to ANY and ALL Students Grades 3rd - 7th. This Camp is open to Any and All students enrolled in Ankeny School District. |
Ankeny HS Baseball Coach Joe Balvanz, Centennial HS Baseball Coach Mark Hey, the coaching staff of both schools and members of the varsity baseball teams will be offering a baseball camp for all boys in grades 3rd-7th this winter. The camp will focus on fundamental skills and drills and preparing players for the upcoming season. The program will be held in the Northview Middle School gyms on four Sundays. Registration fee includes a t-shirt.
You may choose to attend one or both sessions. If you choose to attend both sessions, there is a discount that applies.
PITCHING / DEFENSIVE ACADEMY: Stretching properly, pitching mechanics, drills that emphasize mechanics, drills to increase velocity, pick-off moves, defensive skills for infield and outfield.
CATCHING ACADEMY: Blocking drills, framing drills, throwing drills, throwing mechanics.
OFFENSIVE ACADEMY: Proper hitting mechanics, drills that emphasize hitting mechanics, base running and techniques, bunting drills.
